Why We Love The Good & The Beautiful

We have used The Good and the Beautiful curriculum since the beginning of our homeschool journey. My oldest has used the Preschool, Kindergarten Prep, and the Level K Language Arts and Level K Math courses.

I can confidently say that beginning our homeschool journey was so much easier with The Good and the Beautiful. Even if you don't use them long term, they are a great curriculum to start with. Here's a few reasons why we love them so much:

1. It's open and go. This means that there is no prep or planning ahead of time. When we sit down to do a lesson, it is the first time I see the material. This is such a time saver as a busy mom! The lessons are scripted, they tell you exactly what to read to the child and there are step-by-step instructions for how to explain the lesson.

2. It has strong academics. The Good and the Beautiful is known for being very academically sound, they have won many awards for their programs. The way the concepts are taught are so thorough, smooth, and easily understood by my daughter. The lessons are very interactive and keep my daughter engaged. We also love using their additional resources like the letter tiles app and the booster games!

3. A variety of subjects is included. I love that their language arts courses not only include reading, phonics, writing, literature, grammar, and spelling but geography and art as well. This simplifies my life as a homeschool mom so much because we can use one curriculum that covers all these subjects instead of using a different curriculum for each subject.

4. The quality is unmatched. When we first started using The Good and the Beautiful, I was stunned by how colorful and pretty the course books are! They are just so fun to look at and use.

5. Everything that comes from The Good and the Beautiful is wholesome and good. I love that they incorporate God and prayer into the lessons. They emphasize teaching good character traits like kindness, gratitude, and honesty. Not only are their courses this way but their entire library is made up only of books that are clean, appropriate, and teach good values.
